WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR INVISALIGN CLEAR BRACES?

1. Call the office to set up a complimentary Invisalign consultation. Our team is very experienced and happy to answer many of your questions, including payment plans and options to fit your new smile into your budget.
   
2. Meet Dr. Safar and the team to discuss your desires and concerns. Since Dr. Safar is one of San Diego’s top Invisalign providers, she can usually quickly determine if you are a candidate and give you an estimate of the approximate amount of time it would take to create your new smile. At this appointment all the fees and the entire process will be reviewed, and you can even watch a video of the Invisalign Process if you choose.
   
3. Once Dr. Safar has determined you are a candidate, and you are comfortable proceeding with the Invisalign System, the following is what you can expect. Precise impressions and models of your teeth will be taken, along with digital photographs and a full series of digital x-rays. If time allows, this step can often be combined with your consultation visit as a convenience to you.
   
4. We will submit your information digitally to Invisalign. In 3-4 days after your visit, Dr. Safar will receive a computer simulation of your case in a program called ClinCheck. She will then review the precise movements the computer has created for your teeth, to be sure the movements are exactly what was asked for. Once Dr. Safar has approved the ClinCheck, the aligner manufacturing process of the clear braces will begin.
   
5. In about 4-6 weeks, your custom clear aligners will arrive in the office, and you will be ready to start the process of creating your new smile, by wearing the aligners. You will receive your first two aligners and a special take home package, along with all the instructions you need to make the treatment both enjoyable and comfortable.

It’s really as simple as that. At the initial aligner delivery appointment, we will then schedule you for the first follow up visit approximately 1 month later.
